YSFlight stable version 20120701 has been released!

Some of the bugs that are not too serious for flying haven't been fixed yet, but I wanted to make a stable official release so that everyone can use. Thank you very much for everyone for helping me debugging new features. I continue work on the left-over bugs. So, please give me some time to fix them. And, my focus now is updating the Scenery Editor.

VNAF & YSAS to produce largest YSFlight event

VNAF Aero and YS Air Shows are currently collaborating to produce the largest online community event for the YSFlight community. Known as AirFest, the event will take place August 3-4-5 with a variety of activities and operations throughout the weekend. "Combining forces to create a top notch event is paramount to keep the excitement in the community in YSFlight" says Scarecrow of YSAS.

Helgoland

I started this way back in April 2010, but it sat around until I took it back up and finished it just after Christmas. It was originally released on YSP, but I decided to put it here as well, just cause.

Helgoland is a little island off the coast of Germany, primarily rock. Difficult to make anything detailed that isn't flat in YS, but I spent a week or so working on the elevation grids to get them to work properly. Like seriously, everything (with the exception of the VOR and Burke) is elevation grids. That was back before I'd figured Gepoly out.

Best used with helicopters or some nice Cessna models.
