On behalf of all the staff members of YSFlight Headquarters, welcome back! As we prep for the holidays, we hope that you are ready for the cold winter months ahead by taking a worthy dose of YSFlight! We are going to have some great events coming up soon and we're hoping to get you into the holiday spirit. Remember, we're one big dysfunctional family. With this, Scarecrow has created this YSFlight holiday poem:

"As winter is upon us, time is here.
Addons are newly wrapped.
Isreali Falcons, American Eagles, and British Bucaneers.

As the holiday time approaches, the mood is light.

This is another fictional aircraft - the latest in the evolutionary line of "low and slow", rather than "high and fast". Derived in a roundabout way from Poland's PZL230 Skorpion and Britain's SABA project of the late 1980's, I wanted a small plane with heavy but simple armament - fewer options - refined simplicity. Large and numerous control surfaces allow it to hang in the air at speeds as low as fifty knots, and I've specially configured it to lose speed on the turns to keep tracking precise without excessive G-loading. This plane comes with the DNM Instant Repaint program - a quick drag-and-drop and your plane is ready for arctic / jungle / desert warfare. It's a simple way of changing colour schemes / markings without having multiple .DAT files. (Be sure to check out the README before applying this to any of your own models, and always practice on a backup copy.) Have fun.

YSIA to Happen this Weekend!

The 2012 edition of the 6th annual YSFlight International Air Show is scheduled for this weekend - September 29th & 30th! The air show, a yearly staple of the YSFlight community, will take place at the Gatwick airport in the UK and will be featuring a variety of acts to include formation aerobatics, military jet demos, strike-assult displays, and much more. A variety of acts will be special for the show, to include the HAVA Air Show Team flying the Boeing 777 to mark it's first anniversary as well as a performance by Heritage USAF aircraft and the Blue Dolphins Jet Team.

YSAS may have to reschedule YSIA due to real FAA obligations

YS Air Shows may have to POSTPONE and RESCHEDULE the 6th annual YSFlight International Air Show currently scheduled for September 29/30. The reschedule MAY be for October 6/7. The show is still currently planned for next weekend (Sept 29/30). Currently, officials running the show have ran into issues into hosting the particular server and supplying event support on the weekend of the air show.

YSFlight Korea to participate in YSIA '12

(London) YS Air Shows has announced today the confirmation of participation from YSFlight Korea's Mad Sharks Joint Force (MSJF) at the 2012 YSFlight International Air Show on September 29th/30th. The performance is Saturday only and will feature the F-15E, F-16, F/A-18, and E-2 aircraft platforms in a joint strike assault demonstration over the skies of Gatwick. The 10 minute performance is one of the top multi-aircraft displays in the YSFlight community flown online.
